CASS student named best speaker panelist in international forum  

Out of 11 finalists, Tarlac State University student Jahnella S. Zulueta from the College of Arts and Social Sciences was hailed as the one of the three best panelists in the Virtual Social Business Students’ Forum (VSBSF) 2020 organized by Daffodil International University (DIU) of Bangladesh on November 25-26, 2020.

Themed “Role of Youth in Zeroing Poverty, Unemployment, and Net Carbon Emission,” the VSBSF 2020 is the first virtual forum on social business which highlights the three major global concerns on eradicating poverty, unemployment, and net carbon emissions which are also called “three zeroes.”

The forum, attended by more than 200 young leaders from 23 countries and 36 universities, features a panel discussion where panelists were selected based on submitted profiles and video messages of student-nominees during the registration. Afterwards, the selected 11 finalists discussed and presented their visions and ideas on the three zeroes.

Joining Zulueta among the finalists are students from Russia, South Africa, Macau, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Ukraine, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. She is also joined by a finalist and awardee from San Pedro College in Davao, Philippines.

TSU nominated four other student-delegates to join the forum, namely Dexter Ivan T. Fernandez (College of Science), Jay Ford L. Ringor (College of Public Administration and Governance), Nicole T. Nicasio (College of Teacher Education), and Kein Edriene B. Miranda (College of Architecture and Fine Arts). [Jazzel Llaneli M. Manabat]
