TSU kicks off CHED webinars for flexible learning

Tarlac State University gave a head start to the newly launched R3HiEd Bayanihan of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO3) which seeks to provide free webinars and online trainings on flexible learning for higher education institutions (HEIs) in Central Luzon 

The first set of webinars hosted by TSU featured the topics “Public Health Emergency in the Philippines: Updates and Status” and Higher Education Learning in the midst of Pandemic vis-a-vis Flexible Learning Program and its Challenges”. 

Said topics were discussed by TSU Medical Officer Dr. Rommel Hernandez and TSU President Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari, respectively, on September 1, 2020. 

Meanwhile, the first part of the September 3 webinar was discussed by Dr. Erwin P. Lacanlale, Vice President for Academic Affairs, which was centered on “Roles and Responsibilities of Educators on Flexible Learning Program: A Systemic View”. 

Dr. NiñB. Corpuz, Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, talked about Psychosocial Support or Educators’ Coping Strategies and Well-being” for the second part of the September 3 webinar.  

Webinars and online trainings for faculty members of the different Region III HEIs will be held from September 2020 onwards according to Dr. Maria Teresita M. Semana, CHEDRO3 OIC Director. 

Such initiative seeks to assist other HEIs in adapting to the new normal scheme and digital transformation in education delivery. 

The R3HiEd Bayanihan is one of the top priority projects on Instructions as identified in the Regional Higher Education Action Plan (RHEAP). TSU has led the thematic area for Instructions headed by Pres. Mallari and Vice President Lacanlale[Maria Adelaida D. Calayag]
