TSU students attend Culture Winter Camp in Taiwan

Five students from different colleges attended the Spectacular Taiwan Culture Winter Camp 2020 at the National Taichung University of Education (NTCU), Taiwan on January 13 to 22, 2020.

The said winter camp is intended for the partner universities of the NTCU which aims to help students enrich their interest and knowledge of Chinese language and culture in Taiwan, as indicated in the communication sent by the NTCU International Affairs Office.

Its classes are focused on Taiwanese Puppets, Chinese Tai Ji, Introduction of Taiwanese Culture, and Chinese Calligraphy.

The student-participants selected by their respective colleges are Dexter Ivan T. Fernandez from the College of Science, Aaron Joseph G. Cabrera from the College of Arts and Social Sciences, Hossanah Grace N. Quiambao from the College of Teacher Education, Reizend P. Rebutar from the College of Business and Accountancy, and Patrick Kleo D. Lim from the College of Engineering and Technology. They were accompanied by Dr. Theodore M. Timpac, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education.

TSU President Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Erwin P. Lacanlale, and University and Board Secretary Ms. Aurelia S. Valencia also joined the students in Taiwan.

In October 2019, TSU and NTCU signed a memorandum of agreement for student mobility.
