TSU sends off 500 graduating students for the 31st Commencement Exercises
The 31st Commencement Exercises for the 500 graduates of the 1st semester of the A.Y. 2019-2020 was held on January 24, 2020 at the TSU Gymnasium.
Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari conferred the degrees of 47 graduates from the Master’s Programs and 453 from the Bachelor’s Programs.

Hon. Ron P. Salo, Representative of the Kabayan Party List of the 18th Congress of the Republic of the Philippines, is the invited speaker for the exercises.
He emphasized that education should not only be knowledge based, but also competency based in which he defined as “Education 4.0.” This and the 3Cs (Critical Thinking, Competency, and Character) are the country’s two prong solution to one of the problems in education – under/unemployment and job skills mismatch.
“I'm also confident that you will all become assets to this country and pro-actively contribute to our nation building. I have faith in you graduates of TSU that all of you will become agents of positive change in our society,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Baccalaureate Services were held on January 23 with Fr. Jowi Mendoza, the Mass Celebrant, and guest speaker Hon. Melissa P.
