TSU maintains IMS Certification
To ensure Tarlac State University’s compliance to the provisions of the three standards of its Integrated Management System certification, the university successfully underwent and passed its third surveillance audit on October 1-2, 2019 with IMS Auditor Mr. Gene Gile.
The said audit is intended for the one-year extension of the university’s IMS certification.
The day commenced with a meeting between the auditor and the IMS Office headed by Dr. Julieta Lagasca, IMS Director.
Among the offices and units visited for the audit are the Administrative Office, Accounting Unit, Human Resource Development Management Office, Procurement Unit, Supply Property and Management Unit, Records and Archives Unit, Cashiering Unit, Budget Management Unit, and the Business Affairs and Auxiliary Office.
The University Safety Officer and Pollution Control Officers were also subjected to audit for environment, health, and safety concerns along with the Facilities Development and Management Office and the Civil Security Unit.
During the closing meeting, Gile presented five minor non-conformities and eventually granting TSU a passing remark.
TSU President Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari said during her statement of commitment that she is both humbled and proud because the auditor recognized the quality assurance efforts of the university.
TSU has been IMS certified since 2016 and is set to migrate its OHSAS 18001:2007 to ISO 45001:2018 in November 2019.
