CHEDRO III Team Coaches TSU for ISA
The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO III) visited Tarlac State University on July 30, 2019 to conduct a preliminary visit and provide coaching and mentoring for the university’s upcoming Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA).
The activity was held at the Alumni Center of the TSU Villa Lucinda Extension Campus which was organized by the Quality Assurance Office. It was attended by TSU key officials, administrative council members, and unit and section heads.
The CHEDRO III team is led by the Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Director IV Ms. Lora L. Yusi along with Education Supervisors II namely Dr. Efren F. Abulencia, Dr. Regina D. Cura, Mr. John Wesley S. Calagui I, and Ms. Jo Ann C. Gamboa.
TSU President Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari highlighted the importance of the ISA as it is the government certification for quality assurance required by partner international higher educational institutions.
Yusi commended TSU for the physical arrangement and convenience of the Alumni Center, which is converted into the ISA exhibit room, including the color coding of the exhibits.
In addition, Yusi shared tips, possible questions that will be asked during the assessment, and additional documents and evidences that must be included in the exhibits.
After the coaching and mentoring, the CHEDRO III team volunteered to conduct another pre-evaluation visit on August 20, 2019.
The university has started preparing for the ISA since 2018 and will undergo final assessment on August 27-31, 2019.
