TSU Opens IMS Audit, Welcomes Auditor

To formally commence the Integrated Management System (IMS) Audit and to welcome the IMS Auditor Mr. Shahid Mushtaq, Tarlac State University held an opening program at the TSU Main AVR on August 15.

Mr. Mushtaq, Principal Auditor of W3 Solutionz for IMS and Projects, is the Lead Auditor for the IMS Audit. He will personally take charge in the auditing of the processes in each office.

A heartfelt invocation was offered by Prof. Winifredo Luis, Director of the Office of Public Affairs and Information.

Dr. Redemptor Toledano, Planning Officer of the University, gave a background of the University, its officials, the basis of its certification, the objective of the University’s systems and programs.

Mr. Mushtaq gave a few insights on how the audit will take place.

TSU was given the IMS Certification which consists of ISO 9001:2017 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. To maintain such certification, TSU must undergo an audit after a year.

The opening program was attended by the TSU key officials, Unit Heads, Supreme Student Council (SSC) Officers and College Student Council (CSC) Governors. (Ruth Hazel A. Galang - OPAI)
