TSU Tributes LET, Criminology Board Topnotchers and Passers
Tarlac State University welcomed its topnotchers and passers from the recent Licensure Examination for Teachers and Criminology Board Exam in a Thanksgiving Ceremony held last December 9, 2016 at the TSU Gymnasium.
The celebration kicked-off with a motorcade of the topnotchers and passers from Lucinda Campus to Main Campus, following the mass conducted at the TSU Gymnasium.
Dr. Julieta M. Lagasca, Dean of the College of Education, introduced the topnotchers and passers from her College in the September 2016 Licensure Examination for Teachers. Among the firsts were Richard Macapulay (BSEd) and Mark Castillo (BEEd), with Melody Paraon (BEEd) and Rose Ann Tubay (BEEd) both sharing as tenth place.
Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg, Dean of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, also introduced and congratulated the TSU’s first batch of passers in the October Criminology Board Exam, which also made TSU as the 3rd Best Performing School with an 88.46 passing rate. Notably, from this batch is also the 6th placer, Lian Luzong.
In coordination with the TSU Alumni Association Incorporated, the topnotchers were given cash incentives. Macapulay and Castillo received Php100,000.00, while Luzong, Tubay and Paraon received Php40,000.00 each.
The Parents-Teachers Association of the College of Education also rewarded the LET topnotchers.
Dr. Carl E. Balita, owner of Carl Balita Review Center in which Castillo, Paraon and Tubay enrolled, also offered gifts to the LET Topnotchers as they can travel anywhere in the Philippines.
Afterwards, Castillo, Macapulay and Luzong were given a moment to speak about their story and to thanks all those who helped them throughout their journey leading to their board exams.
Dr. Lolita V. Sicat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, concluded the ceremony with her message.
