URO conducted Mid-Year In-House Review 2016
Due to the continuous encouragement of the university to come up with quality researches, the University Research Office (URO) held its Mid-Year In-house Review for completed researches last July 15, 2016 at the Training Room, RED Bldg.
The said event was a first In-house review for Director Dr. Leo P. Piao which was organized by the URO staff, spearheaded by Ms. Julie Liezel C. Ferrer.
Each research was deliberated upon thoroughly and has gone rigid scrutiny by the panel of specialized experts from the region, Mr. Wilfredo F. Sibal, Dr. Filipinas L. Bognot and Dr. Soledad M. Roguel.
The said event was attended by the University President, Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari, together with the Vice President for Research and Extension Services Dr. Glenard T. Madriaga, the VP for Academic Affairs Lolita V. Sicat, and faculty researchers from different colleges.
Ensuring the smooth flow of the event was the Master of Ceremonies Mr. Xyris Gerard A. Fernandez together with Ms. Ma Perpetua C. Patiag. Each presenter was given fifteen (15) minutes to discuss his or her research from the rationale to the recommendations, and was followed by another fifteen (15) minutes for the panel to relay their assessments and recommendations.

The Mid-year In-house review is a part of the URO’s commitment to organize research programs, and encourage researches from different colleges through their faculties. This serves as one of the accomplishments of the university in community building and addressing national needs for development.
The event was concluded successfully, a first for newly appointed URO Director, Dr. Leo P. Piao. Director Piao ended the program with a speech, encouraging more researchers to conduct more studies in the coming years.

The Master of Ceremonies — Facilitating the program is Mr. Xyris Gerard A. Fernandez from the Analytical Laboratory Services-URO.
Starting the day right - VP for RES, Dr. Glenard T. Madriaga welcomes the participants on a joyful note.
“To lead by example”-- University President, Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari encouraging the researchers to promote more community development studies and reminding the audience to “lead by example” among other aspirants.
For everybody’s information -- Ms. Julie Liezel C. Ferrer providing the mechanics to address the queries in the event.
The humbling advice - Dr. Leo P. Piao, Director of URO, sharing his thoughts on Johari Window - that in everything we do, we should accept other’s evaluation.
