TSU Chorale wins 2 Gold Grade II awards in Singapore International Choir Competition

Tarlac State University Chorale astonished the international audience as they earned two Gold Grade II award in the Oriental Concentus International Choir Competition at the Singapore School of the Arts on July 1-4, 2016.
Gold Grade II is the second highest award given to chorale groups per category.
TSU Chorale both won in the Chamber and Folklore category. For the Chamber category, they sang the pieces De Profundis, Jagdlied and Salidummay. For Folklore category on the other hand, the choir interpreted the songs Koyu No Tebulul, Pasigin and Banwar Iti Cordillera.

Different groups from Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand participated in the said competition. Other chorale groups from the Philippines also joined, such as the UST Liturgikon, University of Mindanao, Chorus Vocales Philippines and Centro Escolar University Chorale.
The Chorale is composed of the following: Hanna Jaira Bermas, Berenice Redoban, Antonette Candela, Krystel Manuel, Rica Ann dela Cruz, Hannah Maessey Gotos, and Gladys de Leon on Soprano; Mary Justine, Rose de Vera, Shermaine Mendoza, Princess Camille Suarez, Stephanie Agravio and Alyza Ortiz on Alto; Ronald Bartolome, Wally Tugna, John Cristopher Nacana, Kristian Jose and Aris Ramos on Tenor; and Daniel Diamzon, Dante Espinosa, Keil Cajucom, Mark Ervin Morauda John Winston Afable. Joshua Ysmael Fontanilla was the Conductor for the group.
Dr. Lolita V. Sicat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Marcelino P. Balanquit, and Ms. Leodivina P. Tagama accompanied the group at competing in Singapore.
