Sitel opens in Tarlac
Tarlac City – One the world’s leading Business Process Outsourcing ( BPO)companies has opened its office here in the city.
Sitel, a global customer care provider, opened its 12th customer experience center in the country.
Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) director-general Lilia de Lima was the guest of honor and speaker at its opening at the Robinson’s Mall in Brgy. San Miguel.
Present during the opening were local government officials, Sitel employees and members of the business and private sector.
Craig Reines, Sitel Philippines chief operating officer said the BPO firm opened in Tarlac because of its “strategic” location. Sitel officials also cited Tarlac’s availability of well-qualified and highly-skilled talent with strong customer service skills and aptitude for complex outsourcing processes.
“As an academic institution, Tarlac State University (TSU) welcomes Sitel in its community. As one of the world’s leading BPO company, our graduates will have the opportunity to work with the highest level of employment standards. This may also pave the way for linkages between TSU and Sitel for an exchange in technology or the opportunity to learn from their language and IT experts.” said Prof. Winifredo L. Luis, Director for Public Affairs and Information Office who was invited to the event.
Currently, Sitel Philippines employs 18,000 employees from 12 customer experience centers across Metro Manila, Baguio, and Tarlac.
“I am pleased to open Sitel’s newest, state-of-the-art facility in Tarlac City,” Lilia de Lima said. “Not only is Sitel continuing to grow and invest in its sector, but their expansion into the provinces will mean more jobs and opportunities for the people and the economy of Tarlac.”
