According to Dr. Ligaya Salangsang, Director of the Sports Development and Management Office (SDMO), “Our ranking at the recent SCUAA 2015 is rising at a steady pace… so far so good.”
Dr. Salangsang added that this 2016, year-round training will be proposed to the coaches and trainers. “We are looking at more competitive games outside of the university to further hone our players’ talents and skills, at the same time provide better quality equipment.”
Prof. Dennis Santos, Assistant Director of the SDMO said, “TSU will be back next year, more prepared and with more medals to bring home.” This is evident in the high number of silver and bronze medals accumulated by TSU, which sports officials hope would turn to gold next year.
“We have to give credit where credit is due. We thank the coaches and trainors for the support, all the deans for allowing their students to be part of the delegation. We also thank the support of the administration, in particular the Procurement, Budget, Accounting, Supply, Cashiering, and the PPO. To the parents and friends who showed support and lastly to the student athletes who gave their whole heart to the endeavor of bringing pride to TSU.” Dr. Salangsang said.
Former Valenzuela City Councilor and TV personality Shalani Soledad-Romulo was the guest of honor and speaker during the opening of the 2015 SCUAA competition
