TSU student leaders attend IYLC in Vietnam

Student leaders SSC President Miguel Paolo Nunag, SSC Senator on Finance Loiuse Jhoice I. Gapasen, CBA CSC Finance Lahanna Jassam De Leon and JPCS PIO Kate Lynn Valdez are joined by SDO Director, Prof. Gladie Natherine G. Cabanizas and TSU Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Armee N. Rosel at the International Youth Leaders Convergence in Vietnam.

 

The Tarlac State University Student Development Office (SDO) recently sent four student leaders to the 1st Dux Gregis: International Youth Leaders Convergence (IYLC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with the aim of “gathering a maximum of 1,000 young leaders from universities, communities and organizations from 120 countries to discuss relevant world issues and equip them with additional skills and knowledge relevant to their backgrounds or chosen fields.” according to the World Youth Alliance website.

Supreme Student Council (SSC) President Miguel Paolo Nunag, SSC Senator on Finance Loiuse Jhoice I. Gapasen, CBA CSC Finance Lahanna Jassam De Leon and Junior Philippine Computer Society (JPCS) PIO Kate Lynn Valdez currently holding major positions in their respective councils and organizations participated in the said international convergence. The student leaders were assisted and supervised by SDO Director, Prof. Gladie Natherine G. Cabanizas and TSU Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Armee N. Rosel.

The IYLC hopes to train future leaders with discussion in arts and culture, business and finance, and youth development and training programs. The conference will also host five international competitions including the Ten Outstanding Youth Programs of the World, Global Extemporaneous Speech Face-off, World Tourism Marketing Challenge, International Heritage Showcase Competition, and Community Program Development: Research & Proposal Competition.

1st Dux Gregis International Youth Leaders Congress is a four- day World Youth Leaders’ Meet of convening university students, community youth leaders, young professionals and university administrators and faculty all over the world. (Christine Angelique J. Yanga - SDO)
