616 Graduate from Project FREE-Sulong Tarlac Scholarship Grant
Tarlac City – Department of Education Secretary Armin Luistro, awarded diplomas to 616 public elementary and secondary school teachers who earned the degree of Master of Arts in Teaching from the Project FREE (Flagships to Reach Educational Excellence) – Sulong Tarlac graduation rites at the Tarlac State University Gymnasium.
Education Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro delivered the commencement address at the Tarlac graduation. Tarlac State University President Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari opened the graduation rites with her welcome remarks. Tarlac Governor Victor Yap received a citation from Secretary Luistro as Project Grantor.
Former 4th District Congressman of Negros Occidental, Hon. Carlos O. Cojuangco was also present for a special message in the graduation rites. Br. Manuel R. Pajarillo, President of University of St. La Salle led the conferment of degrees and was also assisted by Dr. Marissa Quezon, VCAA and Dr. Annabelle C. Balor, AVCAA for the distribution of diplomas.
Project FREE-Sulong Tarlac is the 3rd in Tarlac and the 5th in the country and is funded by the provincial government of Tarlac in cooperation with Tarlac State University, Department of Education and the Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. Foundation.
Project FREE is a program that is anchored on the vision of providing support by enabling public school teachers to obtain their master’s degree through scholarship grants. (Diogenes Simbol-OPAI)
