3 CAFA students Shine in Young Designer Awards
Following their recent success in the board exam for architects, the College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) have yet another reason to celebrate as three more students end up as finalists in two prestigious young designer’s award competitions.
Rewin John Corpuz and Jan Nicole Dizon were declared bronze winners in the Nippon Paint Young Designer Award at the Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas, Pasig.
Laredo Angelo Paras Jr. on the other hand won 1st Place in the design competition of ArchiNext: HCG Young Designers contest and will be formally awarded this Aril 17, 2015 at the SMX Mall of Asia.
According to CAFA Dean Ar. Marco Bildan, the College is proud of the achievements of their students. He announced that Paras will be exempt from the final examinations in his subject, Design 08, as additional incentive to the student.
Three other CAFA students received certificates of participation in the Nippon Paint Young Designer Awards - Miyelle Anne Barce, Gabriel Louie Gantala and Kriza Joy Pangilinan, while seven CAFA students garnered runner up honors in the ArchiNext: HCG Young Designers Competition. The awardees include Jann Paolo Emmanuel Dela Cruz, Clarisse Estela Peralta, Riziel Dahren Soliveres, Regie Rico, Marco Andriade, Chris Cyrill Reyes and Deo Balanay.
