On October 10, 2017, Tuesday morning after the flag raising ceremony, there was a zumba session brought by the TSU-HRDMU as part of their fitness and health program.
The flag ceremony was led by the CCS faculty members. It started with a morning prayer headed by Mr. Gilbert G. Gonzales, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. After that, the Panatang Makabayan was recited, led by Ms. Anna Cazandra P. Delos Reyes. Then, the TSU faculty members and employees recited the Panunumpa ng Kawani headed by Mr. Mark B. Manalang. After that, a message was delivered by Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari to light up the day and give motivations to the students and employees of TSU. The flag raising ceremony ended with the singing of Pilipinas kong Mahal. The flag ceremony ended at around 7:15am and the zumba session immediately took place. TSU-HRDMU hired two zumba instructors to lead the event. Faculty members, TSU employees, together with the students had a great time dancing and exercising for about an hour.
The event became more exciting when Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari, offered a price to those students and faculty members who best dressed up for the zumba session. After the event, one faculty member and two students – one male and one female, were declared winners and received a cash prize from the TSU president.
