Tarlac State University has been accredited by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) as an eligible proponent on September 14, 2026, valid for one year.
The accreditation is awarded pursuant to the NCCA Board Resolution No. 2017-265 and serves as a prerequisite in applying for grants, project funding, and cultural programs offered by the NCCA and funded by the National Endowment Fund for Culture and Arts (NEFCA).
TSU may now directly submit proposals to the NCCA for competitive grants that fund research initiatives, heritage conservation, and other artistic and cultural efforts.
According to Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Dr. Niño B. Corpuz the certification will enable the university to act as a project implementer for government-backed cultural projects.
“This accreditation gives the university greater opportunities to contribute to the preservation, development, and promotion of our culture and heritage. It also strengthens our capacity to participate in projects that bring research, creativity, and community engagement together in meaningful ways,” VP Corpuz said.
This initiative reinforces the Dalan ng Pananaliksik under the university’s DALAN Framework. The accreditation process was spearheaded by the OVPRIE with University President Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza, VP Corpuz, and Mr. Jay-Art F. Agustin serving as focal persons.
