TSU ranks on 6 SDGs in THE Impact Rankings 2025

Tarlac State University landed in the 1501+ overall rank out of 2,318 institutions worldwide in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, per the results released today (June 18).

Tarlac State University landed in the 1501+ overall rank out of 2,318 institutions worldwide in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, per the results released today (June 18).

The university committee in charge of the said international ranking identified 5 Sustainable Development Goals and the mandatory SDG 17 to qualify for the overall ranking.

TSU scored highest in SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities; and SDG 16, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, ranking within the 801-1000 band.

For SDG 3, Good Health and Wellbeing, and the mandatory SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals, TSU is within the 1001-1500 ranking, while TSU placed 1501+ in SDG 4, Quality Education.

"Congratulations to us! We may have experienced difficulties when we were preparing the reports and evidence for the rankings. However, we still managed to give the university the best possible results," Engr. Emir Lenard S.F. Sicangco, THE Impact Rankings Evaluation committee chair, said in a message to the committee.

Working alongside Engr. Sicangco are the following committee members: Assoc Prof. Augusto N. Lulu Jr. (SDG 4), Assoc. Prof. Maria Tiara Fatima F. Galang (SDG 16), Assoc Prof. Jazzel Llaneli E. Manalo-Manabat (SDG 17), Asst. Prof. Maricor Cheska B. Santos (SDG 11), Ms. Liana Faith Q. De Leon (SDG 3), Ms. Ma. Katrina M. Rivera (SDG 8), and Ms. Jay Ann L. Pablo as part of the secretariat.

THE Impact Rankings assesses higher education institutions globally according to how they implement and contribute to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals indicators as drivers of positive and sustainable social change.
